Happy New Year!!

It all begins with an idea.

Jessica wanted to celebrate herself on her 35th birthday this year and had the idea to turn her grandma’s treasured collection of fabrics into an heirloom piece.

During our virtual consultation I listened to her story and understood she wanted a conversation piece to pass down to her children and their children. We talked about sizing and I showed her how to take the measurements I needed to get to work.

This piece pays homage to our ancestors who quilted meticulously by hand, and the kimono shape makes it a wearable classic.

Making this piece was so much fun and really brought me a great deal of joy. AND it’s gorgeous!!! What a good time!!

And now I am officially obsessed with wearable quilted pieces!
